RULES
With the election season just about at hand...it's time for the fight over the country's budget.
The big fight will involve two things really.
1 - Ending the Bush tax cuts on the top 1% (which is what the Democrats want)
2 - Cutting money from social programs for middle and lower class people (which is what the Republicans want)
As you know, the Republicans who are fighting for 1% of the population who are already rich have no problem with shutting the whole government down. They have no problem with playing "chicken" and letting Unemployment run out, letting taxes go up on the middle class. ending Social Security, Medicare etc..
The Democrats will not let any of that happen. They will not fight, they will not threaten a fight. They will try to make deals, then offer less and less until they finally completely cave in - pathetically claming some kind of partial victory.
HOW TO PLAY:
| Choose the date you believe the Democrats
will "Cave In" on the budget. The Tax cuts will be permenant
and several billion dollars will be cut from middle class services ("entitlements"). The winner will pick the date that Obama signs a bill and stands on the poduim with Harry Reid at his side and announces that they came to a bi-partisan agreement and worked together to keep the government running and that there are no winners and losers. |
