THE ECONOMY

I'm going to throw a few charts at you

...

I could end this page here.

But I will tell you some more. Debates between Democrats and Republicans about the economy are eternal. Is there a perfect system? Probably not.

You've been hearing a lot about the big booming record recovery of the economy.

Every time the market goes up 10 points Rush Limbaugh says "This is it!! The economy is booming. When it drops 10 a day later you hear nothing.

There's a website www.bartcop.com which you DEFINITELY WILL NOT LIKE. Bart is not nice to republicans. However, Bart described the "Bush recovery" in a way that makes a lot of sense. I don't have the exact quote but he pretty much said:

PICTURE A CAR DRIVING 100MPH FOR 8 YEARS. THEN SWITCH DRIVERS AND HAVE THE GUY SLAM IT IN REVERSE. THEN AFTER 3 YEARS OF DRIVING IN REVERSE, HAVE HIM INCREASE HIS SPEED TO ABOUT 7MPH. AND KEEP IT THERE. THAT'S WHAT THE GOP CALLS A RECORD BOOMING RECOVERY. 7MPH

As I keep saying, Bush does nothing that doesn't benefit himself or his financiers. So the tax breaks are not going to you. They're going to the top 1%. So who are some of this top 1%?

......

......

Wanna take a guess how many jobs were created by these companies? It starts with "Z"

I think that speaks volumes that these people all get a better tax rate than you.

Have you noticed how the stock market is not doing anything really? You see the financial types know better than to believe that crap about the economy roaring back . George Bush is not making "The pie higher". He's giving his pals bigger slices of it than they already have too much of now. Add that to the benefits of outsourcing. We let them keep their money overseas tax free and let them hire over there for far less than Americans.

Bush is spending billions on Iraq and on his friends and not funding it from anywhere. Did you know he borrowed from China to give the top 1% their tax cuts? It's true. The GOP is forcing the system to try to inflate the mess that Bush has made of this economy. Alan Greenspan should be fighting this every inch of they way but he's really just playing along for whatever reason.

He's selling you out for profit. The national debt is about SEVEN TRILLION DOLLARS and not a penny of the Iraq war has been paid for yet.

And now the baby boomers are going to start retiring.

One think you always hear is that is that every Republican president that has a bad economy is really a "genius" and fixing it all for the future. Then when the Democrat gets in they get to bask in the good economy that the Republican created as they mess it up for the next Republican. Well even though its not true. Lets say it is. if so, It's time to get a Democrat back to enjoy the prosperity that George Bush has caused for us all when he's gone :-)

But odds are we may be in the same or worse condition we are in now for years to come.

Here's some advice.

Don't count on doing anything with your 401K when you retire. You're going to need it to pay your medical bills.
